HOME >>ABOUT CSH >>ADMINISTRATION Affiliate organizations are independent provincial or regional homeopathic associations that work together and with CSH on projects of mutual interest. They play an active role on our Standing committees to develop projects and then they put those projects into action at the local level. They are also encouraged to initiate their own projects to increase public awareness and understanding of homeopathy, strengthen the homeopathic community, and initiate fundraising opportunities. In return, the Canadian Society of Homeopaths acts as an umbrella organization for the Affiliates to streamline administrative duties and avoid duplication of work common to all organizations. In particular, CSH centralizes the costly and time-consuming responsibilities of membership services and recruitment. We also are able to provide more resources for less through increased purchasing power. Our Standing Committees combine input from individuals across Canada to develop projects and resources that can be used by all. Affiliates and CSH share and serve the same members. CSH members whose principle residence is in an Affiliate's catchments area will receive both national membership with the Canadian Society of Homeopaths and provincial or regional membership with the Affiliate organization. At present, CSH has formalized an Affiliate agreement with West Coast Homeopathic Society, which automatically confers membership in both CSH and WCHS to those residing in BC. In effect, these members receive two memberships for the price of one! CSH also has a provisional Affiliate understanding with the Ontario Society of Homeopaths, which we hope will be formalized in the near future. |
