2008 Awareness Theme:
Homeopathy in Sports

From April 10 to 16, 2008, CSH members from across Canada joined thousands of homeopaths around the world in celebrating Homeopathy Awareness Week.  This worldwide celebration of Homeopathy Awareness began on the 253rd anniversary of the birth of Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of homeopathy (1755 - 1843).

In Canada, however, Homeopathy Awareness Week was unofficially expanded this year to fill the whole month of April. In this way, CSH professional members were afforded more opportunities to hold homeopathic awareness and educational events in their communities.  Additionally, many of our members offered special discounts and draws during the month of April.

Media coverage of our Homeopathy Awareness activities included Homeo-relief: Homeopathy for Sports Injuries by Nicole Duelli, RCSHom (Alive, April 2008) and Alternative healing gaining credibility by Arlene Jongbloets (100 Mile House Free Press, April 16, 2008).

CSH also held another fundraising raffle to draw attention to the range of introductory books on homeopathy that are available in libraries and book stores.  Prizes were those books listed on the back of our Homeopathy Awareness bookmark, kindly provided by Minimum Price Homeopathic Books

Congratulations to the following winners!

Homeopathy
in Sports

Regular exercise is an important key to good health, providing both physical and psychological benefits for all ages.

Injuries can prevent you from being able to continue with your normal exercise routine and staying active, in addition to causing pain and discomfort.

Homeopathy can help!
Professional athletes as well as amateurs find that homeopathy can be effective as a non-drug therapy for treating injuries, as well as improving their overall performance.

When injuries do occur, a well-prescribed homeopathic remedy will act quickly to relieve the symptoms of pain and to accelerate the healing process.
